MECHANICAL DESIGN · FINITE-ELEMENT WORKFLOW
Piston structural-analysis workflow.
A four-stage visualization of the transition from a CAD component to load definition, finite-element discretization and von Mises stress results. It illustrates the engineering evidence needed to evaluate component behaviour under specified loading.

1 · Define the model
Prepare and review the geometry, material properties, supports and representative operating loads before simulation.
2 · Resolve the response
Generate the finite-element mesh, establish boundary conditions and examine stress concentration regions and displacement behaviour.
3 · Review the design
Interpret the results against design requirements, verify that the load path and constraints are credible, and identify any needed geometry changes.
The available animation shows a structural-analysis workflow. It does not by itself establish a specific material allowable, safety factor, measured validation outcome or design approval.
